This diet lasts for 50 days, and consists of predetermined limits for each day. It is a calorie restrictive diet and gradually gets harder. The idea of the diet is that, by varying your intake so much, your metabolism is kept as high as possible and so you lose more.
There are no specific foods/exercises that are associated with this diet.

I am trying to stick to the calorie limits as closely as possible, and actually trying to use up my calories over the day, so that I have the right amount. I'm hoping this will prevent bingeing more than trying to fast would, and also will make the diet more effective.
No extra exercise today apart from some wandering around.
I will be trying to eat the majority of my calories in the morning or at lunch, as this gets my metabolism working sooner, ready for the day. So this morning I had a Blueberry Muffin (348), which was good, and I managed to give away my birthday chocolate from yesterday to someone else, avoiding that nightmare food!
I regretted the muffin though, as it meant I couldn't have any of my birthday cake today, and I haven't even tried it! I kind of don't want to, just to avoid the cravings it might cause... I also don't know how many calories it is, as I don't know how much the entire cake weighs and therefore how much each piece is (they're different sizes). I know the calories for the entire cake, so might divide that and have a smaller piece tomorrow, so at least I'm overestimating.
I made sure to save some calories for the evening though, as I usually get hungry late at night, which leads to bingeing. To prevent this, I had a tin of Heinz Chicken Noodle Soup (126), which is my #1 safe food, as weird as it sounds!
It's absolutely delicious, a tin is meant to serve two people so having a whole tin to myself is very filling, it's warm so that also helps fill me up, it has a small amount of both chicken and noodles, which is protein and white carbs, and yet the WHOLE TIN (2 servings) is only 126kcal! It's just perfect in my opinion, and you can make it into even more servings by watering it down a bit as it's quite thick.
So anyway, I nearly binged, as my mum cooked roast chicken, and I admit I nibbled a tiny bit off the plate in the kitchen, but stopped myself and made my soup before it ruined everything.
I think it's a good start!

Today was great, I had some Sour Cream & Chive Pretzels (133), some Worcester Sauce & Tomato Popcorn (96) and a piece of my birthday cake (222), which had me at 451 for the day. Great!
UNTIL, I got home from work while my parents were out, began putting a piece of food I said I'd eat onto a plate, to make it convincingly dirty, and was about to go and throw the food away, making it look like I'd eaten, when what do you suppose happens?
My mum walks in right at that moment.
So I have to sit and eat this food that I said I'd eat, because she was watching me. And I hate it, I am now over TRIPLE my limit for today, which is disgusting.
I will not let this stop me, I have my schedule, there will be slip ups, but that won't stop me. I will continue on to Day 3 as normal, and I'm sure it'll fix itself, as this is only Day 2, so I'm not into the depths of this diet yet, meaning my progress won't be hindered too much.

Today was absolutely awful. I had the pretzels again (133), and a gluten free pecan caramel square (167), and that was it. Done. 300 calories for the whole day.. Right?
Wrong.
My friend says something that triggers one of the only two things that ever upsets me, so I become very down, and just so happen to be an emotional eater. So what do I do? Oh great, I binged.
I tried to purge it, failed miserably (not even a TINY bit came up!), and it's just been an awful awful day... I really hope tomorrow's better.

I have a Digital Pocket Scale, and it is the saviour of my anxiety.
This morning, I was given some chocolate M&Ms in class for my work, and ordinarily I'd have had to give them away as I didn't know the calories.
But thanks to my 500g-0.01g Pocket Scale, I was able to weigh them! And once I know the weight, which was 5.65g, I could work out the calories for them!
So today, I had 5.65g Chocolate M&Ms (27.4025), a 40g bag of Maizings! Original Crunchy Corn Snacks (170), and 77g Cheese & Onion Quiche (198.8406)
I also started my Gluten Free diet today, as there is a possibility I am Gluten Intolerant. This is excellent, as it cuts out a lot of my carb-based binge triggers such as bread, pasta, cookies, biscuits etc!
Today went very well!

Today was extremely difficult... In order to get my metabolism going, I had to eat something in the morning, which was 38.04g of my Gluten Free Quiche I had some of yesterday (98.1432)
However, I then had to go and work an 8hr shift, and my job is very active.
By the end of my shift I was so exhausted that I actually just ended up lying on the floor! (the shop had shut, I work after closing hours so it's okay).
I made it through though! And managed to pass today too, by the skin of my teeth..

Well I was meant to go into work this morning....
I was meant to start at 8am, so as usual I got up at 6am to get ready. I felt kind of sick, so I had a mini can of Diet Cola and had some water too, thinking that little burst of caffeine might help.
So, I made it to work, made it to the staff door in town... And then had to run to the nearest bin, where I proceeded to throw up involuntarily...
I had no food in my stomach, so obviously the only thing that came up was water and a little of the cola, but it was awful. I absolutely hate not working! Nonetheless, I had to call in sick (to my annoyance, I felt fine an hour later)
After a few hours at home, I had 100g Celery (16), to see if I could eat again, and that went absolutely fine.
My boyfriend also met me in town, where I got some white stockings for a photo I need to take tomorrow for a Modelling Competition on the MPA Forums, started by Melancholy Mermaid (I'm Miss Colourful, in case you're wondering!), and he then came home with me, where he proceeded to cuddle me all afternoon, which was lovely.
I was very cold, very tired, and had literally no energy. It was awful, and I could barely move, let alone open my eyes. However, he cradled me in his arms and tried his best to warm me up, so many thanks to him for that! (He also knows about my eating disorder, so he knew why I was like that, but he didn't overreact thank goodness)
Later on, after I walked him to the station, I debated going to the Gym for an hour of cardio, but I just didn't have the energy, so I made my way home and fried up 100g Mushrooms (22) and 100g Onions (40) with 14 sprays of 1Cal Oil Spray (14), which I then put in a slice of Gluten Free Bloomer Bread (108), which was nice. That brought my total up to a perfect 200!
Another pass, this is going well now!

So today I went over my limit, however I'm not too disappointed.
The reason I went over is because I began to eat some Ready-Roll Icing, but actually stopped myself after 4 small bites, said "NO." and actually put down the food!!!
That is fantastic news. That means I'm finally out of the all-or-nothing way of thinking! So yes I failed, yes I went over, but the mere fact I was able to stay in control and not have a full-blown binge is fantastic!
This means that although I went over today, I have finally regained control over my body. I'm actually beginning to feel less hungry (or at least, better able to deal with the hunger).
I will make tomorrow better, especially now I finally have control again!

Oh gosh, today was just an awful day... I woke up to find out that three people I know from school had found my Instagram (including pictures about stuff with super low calories etc), so I had to hurriedly delete all posts related to that stuff...
Then I ate 5 slices of pizza, which was so stupid as the gluten in it means I now feel really sick, as WELL as all those freaking calories...
THEN I realised I can't be in a relationship because I'm just too broken, so the relationship I'd literally only just begun with the love of my life ended that same day...
And THEN, I used my Shisha pen and it burnt my mouth.
When I then got home, I binged more...
I've cried so much now that I can't breathe....
I will not give up. I will not give up! I'll carry on tomorrow as normal...

Although I failed to keep to the calorie limit, all I ate was chocolate, so I essentially did a chocolate mono....
AND IT WORKS?!
I ate so much chocolate, didn't drink much at all due to forgetting my water bottle, did no extra exercise.... and still lost 3lb!!!
How is that even possible?! Wow.... Chocolate Monos really work! Wow... WOW!
So although I didn't meet the limit, I still lost a lot!
And tomorrow I start having all the meals I've planned. Great!

Today went very very well. I like having planned meals, it's working! I had Hipp Tender Carrots & Potatoes (40), which were absolutely disgusting.. I had to add extra salt to it, just to make it bearable... But I ate it nonetheless!

I'm back on track! This morning, I even got to open GW Reward #1! I'm wearing the beautiful earrings now, to remind me where I've finally got to, and that I can do this! Will post pictures soon, and show you all how pretty the earrings are! They're little iridescent-blue butterflies, and they're so beautiful...
I'll post you pictures, and tomorrow looks to be great, I'm going on a shopping spree for the first time ever! I've saved up 3 paycheques, and will be shopping with a budget of £300 and no shopping list!
However, I must get a Build-A-Bear, as I always get a Build-A-Bear when I go to this particular shopping centre. It's huge, but I rarely ever get to go! Maybe once a year, if that! I haven't been for a few years, and I can't wait... It's going to be fantastic!

It was going soooooooo well! That is, until I got to the shopping centre with my mum, and she brought out a homebaked ginger cake from work that she saved specifically for me because she's such a nice mummy why thank you mummy yes I appreciate it oh my fucking god.
Aaaaand after that I just binged so much.... I gained a whole 2lb! It was disgusting.... Back on track tomorrow, no more bingeing, I don't have any other days out with parents...
I guess a benefit (if there is one) to this is that every single item of food I ate today, my mum saw me eat it, so her suspicions have been subverted for now once more...
However, despite this disgusting act of grotesqueness, I had a great time shopping, bought 2 new body-fitting dresses, and a nice jacket, also bought a shoulderless top and 2 pairs of leggings, I got TWO Build-A-Bears (one for me, one as a birthday present for someone), and also bought some 18-rated Horror films. I got some new headphones too, which are rather nice and comfortable, however I can't pause, play or skip songs without going to my phone to do it, which is annoying. Oh well...
I had a lot of Gluten-based products, which have left me feeling sick, and I just feel disgusting.

Today went very well, and I kept to my limit.
Tomorrow is the next fasting day... I think I may turn it into another chocolate mono, this time purposeful. Not because I don't want to fast, but because:
1. I want to see if this chocolate mono thing is actually effective, or whether last time it was a hoax/one-off
2. I feel that if I can turn some fasting days into chocolate monos instead, it could help prevent binges throughout the rest of the diet
3. I lost 3lb last time... I recently binged and gained 2lb, lost that 2lb again today... So if I can lose another 3lb that'll be great, and I'll be back to my GW1 again, and be able to wear my pretty earrings again!
We'll see... I will be posting my results of the chocolate mono on this blog again, in the Skylark Reviews page, where I will review the "chocolate mono" idea, after having done it last week and tomorrow.
I will be attempting to replicate last week - same chocolate, but this time drinking more water to see if that helps.

Oh god, it's just been the worst day ever today... I woke with an awful headache, went into school, thankfully I only had 2 lessons, both in the morning, but my headache got worse. I also felt utterly exhausted and very, very cold. So I asked to go home at lunch, and I did.
But what did I do at home? Yep. I binged. It was disgusting, vile, grotesque. I tried to purge for the first time in weeks. Not very successfully, I never get much up, but even so. I always tried to avoid purging, as I love to sing (like a little Skylark), but today I felt so desperate that I went back to that.
Just a horrible day. At least it's time for bed now, I can get a good night's sleep.

Well. I didn't get a good night's sleep at all. I fell asleep around midnight, only to have the most terrifying nightmare I've ever experienced, woke up at 1am, and then was crying until 6am because it was such a painful nightmare...
Other than that, once again the day was awful. The nightmare made me feel so upset that I purged the 1/8th of a 152.1kcal sandwich (1 slice Bloomer Bread (108) and 45g Lightest Philadelphia (44.1)), and purged before that too...
Yesterday I tried to purge, but only because I was desperate. Sadly now though it seems to have gone back to my old ways, and become a release of sorts... I will try my very best not to do it, as I love to sing, and also purging actually only leads to gaining in the end. It's only at first you lose from it, and that's just food and water weight.
Not only that today, but when I went into the school toilets to purge the sandwich, two girls in my class burst in, found me over the toilet holding my hair up, made excuses and left pretty sharpish.
I finished what I was doing, because if they know now, then they know. Nothing will stop the rumours, and certainly when I walked back into the classroom, nothing stopped the two girls shooting me a strange look.
Sigh..... Oh well. I'm not skinny enough to have an eating disorder... I'm wearing leggings tomorrow so they can see how fat my legs actually are, and how I can't have an eating disorder.
That should throw them off.

Today was pretty great - I had a slice of Bloomer Bread (108), 6 Organix rice cakes (46), and swapped the other 6 rice cakes I was going to eat for a sachet of Options Hot Chocolate (40), which was very nice!
I then spent the evening with my boyfriend, who kissed and caressed me, and although wearing the leggings was a complete mistake (my legs were so fat, it was disgusting!), he still made me feel happy and relaxed.

I thought a 50kcal limit would be very difficult, and was just going to have a 50kcal energy drink for the day, but turns out you can fit far more into 50kcal than you'd expect, if you're smart about it!
For breakfast, I had a Rooibus Fruit Tea (0kcal), and a Kallo Corn Thin (17) to get my metabolism going early, Then at lunch I had a WeightWatchers Instant Hot Chocolate (33), which made up my 50kcal for the day, and was very nice!
Later on, I was hungry, so I was going to have a few mini rice cakes, and go 36kcal over my limit, but I looked in the mirror, and decided definitely not, and have gone straight to bed now!

What a disgusting day.
It was all going so gloriously well, until my co-workers practically forced me to eat biscuits. I think some of them are catching on, as in my lunch breaks I only ever sit and sip water...
So I managed to estimate that the biscuits were around 142.7kcal in total, which I then went and purged in the toilets as soon as I could. I was quite pleased to have managed that, although I was worried that my boyfriend would notice my reddened knuckles in the car, as he was joining my family and I for dinner.
Pulled Pork in a Homemade Marinade.... I managed to measure out 100g of it (168), and ate it very slowly, drinking a pint of water before the meal, sipping after each bite, and drinking another pint after the meal. I then drank some Pepsi Max (0) in the hopes that the bubbles would help, and against my better judgement, even with my boyfriend downstairs with my parents, I went to the upstairs bathroom and purged again. I don't think I got much up, which was annoying, and I saw a speck of red (blood perhaps?) but I don't remember what colour the marinade was. It could have been red, so I'm not concerned.
Later on, if that wasn't bad enough, what do I do? I binge! Of course I binge, because obviously I'm not fat enough!
I had 3 Pecan & Caramel Squares (501), a slice of Gluten Free Bloomer Bread (108), Gluten Free Coco-Snaps (134), a Thornton's Lemon Mousse Chocolate Bar (198) and a Chocolate Florentine (150)....
Absolutely disgusting. I deserve the 4lb I gained this evening....
My new goal is 80lb by Christmas, not 85lb. I will do this, I will be underweight for Christmas.
I've bought lots of low calorie foods, and have organised them all into sandwich bags, I'm ready to do this. I can do this.

Today I had a bowl of Free From Gluten Free Coco-Snaps (133), with water (0) and Stevia (0) for breakfast. It was the first time I've ever replaced the milk in cereal with water - Not actually that bad! It's made even nicer by the knowledge that I'm cutting out so many calories that are added by milk!
I know a lot of cereals, when giving the calories per 30g/portion, it's often including 125ml Semi-Skimmed milk (62.5), so tomorrow I might work out what lots of cereals are when using just water, and maybe see if I can make them a little more calorie-friendly with smaller portions!
For lunch, I had Kallo Corn Cake Thins x2 (34 - 17 each), and then I had 33kcal left. I was going to use that for a WeightWatchers Instant Hot Chocolate, but my boyfriend took me for a drive this evening (so much sitting down... Ugh.), and he bought a bag of sweets.
I'm going to try and convince him I'm all better, and eating normally now, to stop him worrying. So I noted that one sweet (24) was within my limit, and accepted the offer.
Later on, I was upset about something, and I could feel my emotional eating tendencies trying to worm their way back into my life, but I shoved them down and purged instead. I know it was a bad thing to do, I had an empty stomach, nothing came up and I tried for about 30 minutes before I realised there was nothing in me to get rid of, but I'd rather resort to that than eat.
Back in control. I didn't lose or gain today, probably because I ran out of water in the car, and so it's probably water weight, and I couldn't twitch much in the car either, so I didn't burn enough.
I'm going to town tomorrow, so I'm sure I'll lose. I have until Thursday evening to be GW2 again. That's tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday to lose 4lb... I can do that, easy.
